10 ThingsI Want To Do This Summer
The count down has begun and so has my list of things to do this summer.
I'm really looking forward to doing more family fun activities, now that my baby is old enough to walk, run, and get himself into trouble.
And although I tell myself not to do any work related "work," I know that that will be IMPOSSIBLE. I will however, commit myself to spending at least 75% of my summer on my family...
***********************************
#1: Begin my workout and restart running in preparation for my next half marathon. Last year, I ran the San Diego Rock 'N' Roll half marathon after giving birth to my, then 6 month old Juanpablo. Let me tell you, that was quite a feat! But this year, I plan on doing it right and in under 2:30 hours!
#2: Finish off my weight loss and reach my goal! I'm only 10 pounds away from my target weight and am so grateful for having worked, and still working with my fabulous coach, Krisinda. With her guidance and help, I have managed to loose almost 30 pounds (28 1/2 lbs so far) through her Take Shape For Life program.
Side note: If any of you are interested let me know and I'll give you her contact info.
#3: Read Dan Brown's, Inferno. I don't know how I have not read this! I am a HUGE Dan Brown fan. I've literally read all his books, except this one. I even went to Barnes & Noble and paid full retail price on the day it was released! And sadly, have not read it. Until now... I can't wait!
#4: Put my 1 year old in swimming lessons. Grandma (my mom) has a pool and now that he's old enough to get in, it's time to learn how to swim.
#5: Spend some quality time with my girls. Nicole and Paulina are my pride and joy. They are such good girls, and I'd really love to spend as much time with them laughing and making fun, summer (and all time) memories.
#6: Also, spend time with my wonderful hubby. So, I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna do some gardening with him to show him how much I care!
He's planted corn, watermelon, pumpkins, zucchini, avocados, guavas, lemons, limes, and I think potatoes?? Needless to say that he really wants me to get involved. I love him!!
#7: Go watch a movie at the movie theater. With a toddler, I have very little time to go to the movie theater. I think the last movie I went to see was The Hobbit, but before that, I don't remember. I think it was Wreck it Ralph. I don't even know what's out right now. Thank goodness for the AMC movie tickets I got for Teacher appreciation.
#8: Catch up with my favorite shows. I've DVRed so many. But one for sure I want to watch is Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. I started watching the original Once Upon a Time and got my sisters and best bud Maritha hooked on it. Haha! Now, I have to check out its spinoff!
#9: Go to TPT's first annual conference in Vegas, and staying at the Venitian! Woo hoo!! I soooo can't wait to meet all the top sellers and learn from them. I am really looking forward to this trip!
#10: And last, but not least, go camping with my family. I gotta tell you, I am really fortunate to have such a wonderful and fantastic family. We are ALWAYS together and spend time traveling, laughing, and just enjoying one another. Every year, we travel somewhere different. This summer, we're planning on going camping. Where? That's still to be determined. But I know, I can't wait!
